By Which Spacecraft The Earth Size Determined

NASA, NASA Kepler, NASA Kepler Mission, Kepler SpacecraftIntroduction:-

Kepler is a space observatory launched by  NASA to discover the Earth-size planets. The spacecraft named on Astronomers Johannes Kepler. The spacecraft launched on March 7, 2009. The principal investigator was William J. Borucki. NASA announced its retirement on October 30, 2018.
It designed to survey a portion of the region of the Milky Way to discover the Earth-size exoplanets in or near habitable zones. This 9yearsr of service, Kepler observed 2,662 planets and 530,506 stars.

The diameter of Kepler was 0.95 m (3.1 ft). And the collecting area of 0.708 m2 (7.62 sq ft). The wavelength ranged between 430-890 nm. The bandwidth of the spacecraft different are given below:
X band up:7.8 bit/s – 2 bit/s
X band down: 10 bit/s-16 kbit/s

The initial planned was 3.5 year for the lifetime. Initially, in, the mission was to extend up to 2016. On July 14, 2012, one of the spacecraft four reaction wheels used for pointing the spacecraft. On May 11, 2013, a second reaction wheel failed.

Achievements:-

Astronomers announced Kepler was the first person to discover the earth size in April 2014. On 25 March the trophy will be presented in Washington ceremonies. The ceremonies were Managed by NASA Ames Research center. German mathematician Johannes Kepler, who was the first to describe the motion of planets around the sun.
